Here, have some random Spyro trivia.
Spyro's Change of Heart
(7:46) Spyro's original voice (Carlos Alazraqui) and personality attracted a bit of bad feedback, with some people complaining that he was a 'cocky bastard'. For all subsequent games his personality was toned down to be more likeable, and his new voice (Tom Kenny) was softer.

The back of a Pizza Hut demo disc shows the walls surrounding part of the castle contained water at one point.

It's funny you bring up Spyro's change in personality. In a Developer Commentary I found, they said that one of the things they canged going from Ratchet and Clank 1 to Going Comando was Ratchet's personality. They wanted to rescue him from being "the asshole he was in the last game" which is why he became nicer to Clank and has a new voice. I'm wandering if they realize that they made two unlike able guys back to back. (2:20)

That's quite interesting. They apparently have a nack at creating (what some folks believe to be) unlikeable characters, it would seem.
A couple more trivia:
Wintery Tundra
The song, Wintery Mist from Silent Hill: The Homecoming is the nearly identical to Winter Tundra from Spyro 2, just slowed down.
