Sony Pictures was going to do it at one point, but it ended up fizzling out. If you ask me, the only way that you could get me to take a non-satirical Captain Planet movie seriously is if Brad Bird was at the helm.
Also, your comment about Turner trying to get a film made since the show's cancellation reminded me of this:

Leave Bird out of this mess. He's too pure and good to do something THIS bad.

SO EXCITED.

Come on guys, Captain Planet peaked with Don Cheadle's version.

A Leo DiCaprio does give off a good chance if an entertaining movie but I was never a fan.

NO. Gene Wilder just died and then this happens? What is with these studios being so disrespectful and announcing reboots of films right after an actor who played a key character dies?

They did the same thing with Jumanji announcing the remake after Williams pasted away. As well as announcing a new Labyrinth film after David Bowie died. They just don't care. They only want money. Its disgraceful.

Best case scenario, it's them wanting to pay tribute. Worst (and most likely) case scenario, it's them wanting to make a profit off of it.

My wife and I are currently sitting in a theater waiting to watch The Accountant. Being a Thursday after 10 p.m., we are the only ones in here. I'm guessing everyone else is here for Jack Teacher 2 or The Magnificent 7. Oh, well - we got the best seats.

And my score for The Accountant is 3.75 outof 5 stars. Not bad.

So this is it....

This is the end of an era.

Joe Pesci is the absolute best.

8 Heads in a Dufflebag is such guilty pleasure.
