You should send a PM to Dazz or Petie for an answer to that.

Oh, alright.

So while I send them a PM for confirmation, how is this gonna work? Are we gonna have 3 separate teams for each Console? It could be:

Sony Team: PS2/PS3/PS4 - This team plays games (Possibly exclusives) and records them on Sony Systems.

Microsoft Team: XBOX 360/ XBOX ONE - Same as Sony Team, except on Microsoft consoles.

Computer Team (Working title) - Computers - Basically a team of people who play computer games.

And...

Podcast Team: Skype(?) - Makes podcasts. Anyone of the Lets Players can join.

So what do you guys think?

If no one PMs them by the end of the day, I'll do it.

As for teams, I don't really think we need teams based on the consoles we have, though it might help get the idea of who has what across.

We don't really have just Podcasters. Everyone has said they are good for both.

Could you possibly put who has what on the first post?

RE: The VGFacts Community Youtube Channel - Combat Lobster - 03-07-2014

I'm just gonna slice this off and make it a separate post:

Also, while I appreciate being included in this, I don't really want my name attached to this. Like I don't mind guesting in other folks' videos, but I don't want to feel obligated to make content for this channel. I've got enough LP stuff on my plate as it is; and more than half of it is for other people's LPs.

RE: The VGFacts Community Youtube Channel - gamemaster1991 - 03-07-2014

^That's fine with me. You never said anything agenst it, so I just put your name on the list. It's gone now.

I think you're over-thinking this. We're talking about LPs not assembling a team of mutant youtubers.

That's the reson I really didn't want to put counsoles for each person. I know alot of us are going to be existed about this, but I think we need to make it a little more basic be fore going gong ho.

Please ask everyone involved to record their own audio with Audacity. If you try recording the whole thing at once the audio levels will be unbalanced and you'll have folks being louder than others.

Also Also: For a number of ya new/old to recording videos/commentary/whatever, please refer to this wiki for technical advice, it'll help.

Sounds good. Thanks for the help.

Just for the record, PC is all I'd be using. I've got no method to record on XBOX and I'm not going to buy more gold.

RE: The VGFacts Community Youtube Channel - Xannidel - 03-07-2014

Okay so I now want to cras-I mean JOIN SERIOUSLY's part in this channel.

RE: The VGFacts Community Youtube Channel - Petie - 03-08-2014

Hey, so I discussed this with Dazz and there's really only one concern we have. We're a bit unsure about having the VGFacts name tied directly to an unofficial project. Doing so can lend the project the impression that it is official or sponsored/endorsed and that can complicate matters down the line.

That being said, I have no problem with the idea itself. In fact, I love that the community is excited about banding together to do something fun and creative. I'm just, at this time, inclined to ask you to refrain from using the VGFacts name or any associated branding for said project. I am open to discussion on this condition though so feel free to reply here and/or via PM if you have anything you feel you need to add.

RE: The VGFacts Community Youtube Channel - Psychospacecow - 03-08-2014

We could spin it like how Rooster Teeth does with their community.

https://www.youtube.com/user/AHCommunityVids

or we could make it say something like

"The VGFacts Forum Conglomerate" - not directly affiliated with The VGFacts website.

RE: The VGFacts Community Youtube Channel - gamemaster1991 - 03-08-2014

That was the problem that I saw. I've been thinking of a way to keep the idea of all of us doing something together without it turning into a "official VGfacts sponsored" thing. I like Psycho's idea of having something that says "This is a fan made product in honor of VGFacts made by the Forum Community." A little touch up on the slogan and maybe (most likely) a name change for the channel and both would be perfect.

Ideas?

I'd say strip the name completely, and come up with something else. Better yet, I'd say you guys step back a bit and make some test videos to see if this is something you guys want to keep doing. It'd be a shame to see a channel fall flat after 10 or so videos later because half of you got burnt out. In the meantime you guys can brainstorm a new name.

That's what I was thinking. I was thinking that this was going a little fast for people who did not have video one finished or even started. We need to step back and wait a bit before starting this. Truthfully, I did not see this getting off the ground until a few months from now.

First off, we need to brain storm some ideas for the name.

RE: The VGFacts Community Youtube Channel - Psychospacecow - 03-09-2014

Venerable Garunix Youtube.
VG.
Nah, actually the vg acronym was hard enough to pull off for our wow group and that's kind of dead in the water.

RE: The VGFacts Community Youtube Channel - frankfrost2 - 03-09-2014

I think the names should be either an acronym or two words together. As in two words, I mean, like, "LetsPlay"
(Just an example)

RE: The VGFacts Community Youtube Channel - gamemaster1991 - 03-09-2014

I have been trying to think of names that will distance the group from VGFacts and DYKG (for now). I can say that, though I like the names I came up with, I kinda sucked at my goal in my own opinion.

The Fact Finders
Trivia Searchers
V.G.T.D. (Video Game Trivia Detectors)

There is a reason that I asked for names instead of creating my own.

RE: The VGFacts Community Youtube Channel - Mass Distraction - 03-09-2014

Euhmm.... "The Fact Community"?

My only problem is that having a name that would imply people are making videos about video game facts is kind of misleading.

RE: The VGFacts Community Youtube Channel - Psychospacecow - 03-09-2014

I think we're worrying a little too much about that anyway. Heck, some of the more popular youtubers are named "Total Biscuit", "HuskyStarcraft," "FrankieOnPCin1080p", "Rooster Teeth,",
