Scibblenauts Unlimited references - DeerBoarDude - 04-19-2014 In the game, it's possible to make gender swapped variants of various things. The female devil and female incubus seem to resemble the characters Scanty and Kneesocks from the anime Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt. Comparison: RE: Scibblenauts Unlimited references - Psychospacecow - 04-19-2014 When did this anime come out? It'd be interesting if it is a reference but we can't base it entirely on the characters' hair. RE: Scibblenauts Unlimited references - DeerBoarDude - 04-19-2014 The first episode premièred on October 1, 2010. Unlimited was released in Australia on November 29, 2012 (US version was released on November 13). So it's plausible. RE: Scibblenauts Unlimited references - Psychospacecow - 04-19-2014 Well, the blue-haired one definitely holds a resemblance. Well, that's what I'm saying. They have to stick true to their art style, so they base things mostly upon their current established characters, which explains that, but it still leads the question of intent. OP, you got some more source? RE: Scibblenauts Unlimited references - Mass Distraction - 04-24-2014 If it really was a reference they could've at least made the incubus have a similar horn like is the case with the devil. RE: Scibblenauts Unlimited references - DeerBoarDude - 04-24-2014 It is referenced on the wikia page: http://scribblenauts.wikia.com/wiki/Devil http://scribblenauts.wikia.com/wiki/Incubus RE: Scibblenauts Unlimited references - G-Haven - 04-24-2014 The Incubus isn't even red, so it really does show they were going for Kneesocks there with the Succubus. RE: Scibblenauts Unlimited references - Psychospacecow - 04-24-2014 Alright, sounds good. Submit away Mr. DeerBoarDude. |
