Connection Very Slow - TheTrueBoss997 - 04-23-2014

So my connection usually downloaded things very fast. I would always download Arrow episodes and it always took around 2-5 minutes. For the past 2 weeks every time I attempt to download a Arrow episode it now downloads at 0.5kB/s max and it now the ETA will be 3 weeks. Why is it doing this all of sudden?? It's impossible to do anything I'm lucky I was able to get on this website.

Of course you're talking about the streaming speed off a legitimate service like Netflix.

If it actually is a legitamite source that's giving you trouble, try restarting your router (unplug, wait 10-30 seconds, and plug back in). If, however, your source is a little less than reputable, you may just be out of luck. It's possible there's something going on with your computer or connection but it's also possible that your ISP has caught on to your downloading and is restricting bandwidth for connections that violate their terms of service. Knowing if this is affecting your internet experience as a whole or just downloads from specific locations would be necessary to really diagnose that.

I'm afraid nobody here can really help you more than that though as we can't condone or support acquiring anything illegally. Best of luck!

I appreciate the help. I restarted it about 6 times until I tried it for the 7th time and it started working properly again. Can't believe I forgot to unplug the router. Not it only did it fix my downloading issue but it also fix an issue with WWE Network. I bought the program and on first day it was already screwing up. But when I went on it to see if I could unsubscribe it started playing without any issue. Here I thought I wasted $60 on a "useless" program. Thanks for the suggestion I feel like a dummy forgetting to unplug it.

Glad I could help. The simplest solutions are often overlooked so no worries there. I've just been doing tech support for a very long time so "turn it off and on again" is pretty much always the first thing I recommend (unless the situation obviously calls for something else, of course).
