Scariest Villains - Beware of Cuccos - 03-18-2013 Who are some of the scariest villains you've come across in games? RE: Scariest Villains - qsdcv - 03-18-2013 I found Slenderman the Dead Hand in OoT to be pretty terrifying, but overall I don't get scared easily from video games. RE: Scariest Villains - pyoro64 - 03-18-2013 That angry sun chasing you in super mario 3. It really freaked me out as a kid. RE: Scariest Villains - Hexadecimal - 03-18-2013 LOL. Yeah... Ocarina of Time had some Nightmare fuel alright. This is going to sound stupid, and maybe I'm actually remembering it wrong since I never went back after my experience as a kid, but a simple disembodied voice scared me. I recall in DK64 there's a Golden Banana that just seems to be sitting there, just asking to be nabbed. However, when you grab it, a terrifying voice from nowhere says in a super scary tone "GET OUT!" as a sniper is targeting you. Clock Tower 3 was my first horror video game. The Hammer dude made me scream when he burst out of a wall. This... Thing from Persona 3: The Answer (Video is an end spoiler, so beware!): RE: Scariest Villains - Xannidel - 03-18-2013 Freaking Dianogas in Star Wars Dark Forces 1...LOOK AT THEM!! Not that bad at first right? RE: Scariest Villains - BumblebeeCody - 03-18-2013 The mannequins from Barts Department Store RE: Scariest Villains - Xannidel - 03-18-2013 Also Condemned 2 Bloodshot's dolls in the doll factory. I have a fear of dolls (well more of a I get creeped out by them) so that was a fun night that I tried to beat that level. The boss battle with Maiden Astrea in Demon's Souls freaked me out... such a spine chilling motif and theme. RE: Scariest Villains - Mass Distraction - 03-19-2013 Pyramid Head and Nemesis from Silent Hill and Resident Evil, respectively. There's nothing more terrifying than a freak of nature that just won't stop at anything to gut you and eat your intestines. Maybe it was the way it moved. On a totally unrelated note, how do you put inline images on this forum? EDIT: Found the button. RE: Scariest Villains - Beware of Cuccos - 03-19-2013 RE: Scariest Villains - 2D Brain - 03-19-2013 haha, yeah that hand was terrifying. especially in the original zelda as a kid. You're just sitting there as a kid, going through a dungeon like usual, then BAM MAGIC HAND OUT OF NOWHERE WITH NO EXPLANATION. RE: Scariest Villains - TheTrueBoss997 - 03-19-2013 I thought this guy from Resident Evil 4 was scary. Couldn't go through the area without being scared if I encounter this. I was also scared of this guy from OoT RE: Scariest Villains - lividd3ad - 03-19-2013 The first time I played OoT (in its 3D incarnation), I didn't see the Redeads in Castle Town. They must have blended into the background or something. All I remember is hearing a blood-curdling scream coming from the speaker and me dropping my 3DS in blind panic. Terrifying. The cry of the Lizalfos in the same game also always had a way of making me jump, especially in the Spirit Temple in which I found out the hard way that they could respawn if I stood in place for too long. |
