At least the Wii U is selling approximately twice as much as the Xbone.

They're going to see how the Super 3DS XL sells and what the reception is. The DS itself is strong as ever thanks to the 3DS being backwards compatible whilst having it's own library. Only that but the Super 3DS XL being able to support both extends the DS's life cycle. I'm guessing that Nintendo are going to use all this information to make a new Wii U. A Wii U that is straight the point.
It will be:
More powerful (so it can get a strong third party library support)
Won't come with the Wii U Gamepad but instead just the pro controller
Will support GameCube controllers
Will have a naturally bigger hard drive
Will have a different design to it.
And to really showcase this machine, the new Zelda with be specially designed for it and will be a launch title. It will run on the Wii U but will look and feel better on our new machine.

So really
Nintendo goof 1: OK we admit...none of you bought the system. It isn't powerful enough to support Xbonez and SonyStation 4 games. We lack third party communications. Games run worse on it than that do on Xbox 360 and PS3. The Gamepad has no replacement and is a mandatory attachment with the console purchase. The online service sucks and we know we have little to no communication to 3DS. So here, enjoy the Nintendo Revolution/Dolphin/Core/Poop.

Just my thoughts on this. I'd also be completely happy with that.

The very first step to the New WiiU is actually come up with decent name that differentiate it's predecessor and not sound like a cheap add-on. And better marketing.

Those numbers will soon catch up.

I don't think the Wii U can continue to take 2nd place this gen.

I would love this so much. I have no issues with using the gamepad, but I'd totally be in for having Wii U games rely less on it and more on that fantastic pro controller

True but in the span of 2 years, the Wii U isn't doing that well. Especially since the Xbox hasn't been out for a year yet.  Obviously the Wii U will pick up pace with the release of Bayonetta and Smash but it's not going to last.

I'm actually buying a Wii U later this month with all that being said.

Maybe it will pick up around the release of Bay 2, but I thinkl most of the people who liked Bay 1 have already bought a Wii U.

As for Smash, I still think it would be a better move to have the Wii U version relese first and than the 3DS version.

So... I think I got a pirated game on accident today. I bought a used copy of Golden Sun: The Lost Age from a used game store and noticed that the cartridge didn't fit correctly into my GBA SP. Some more checking online, and the picture doesn't fit exactly and the color for the seal of quality is slightly off. I checked the numbers on the back of the cart also: it's the code Nintendo placed on the GBA SP charger. The real code is one off.
Yep, it's a total fake.

Bayonetta 2 demo is out on the E-shop.

Go get it guys, it's the first level but it's very fun.

Best I can get it is a Gold on the level though, kinda pissed cause if I don't get hit, I always fuck up not getting the combos cause using the Wii U's buttons is hard, I'd rather have a 360 controller or something.

I feel so bad for Kellam but his presence issue is hilarious.

Getting hype for Bayonetta 2.
Michelles combo video:

...and then Platinum do this questionable crap like this:

Still not sure what Bayonetta is saying half the time. Sounds like "Fuck off", and other times it sounds like "Lock on" so idk.

Speaking of Bayonetta, I'm dying for this figure to come up for pre-order:

The face is so much better on this one compared to Phat's figure.

RE: The Free Gaming Thread v2 : Electric Boogaloo - GameWizard001 - 10-10-2014

I actually like Bayonetta's hair style from the first one better. Not saying the new shorter version is bad but they didn't really need to change it or at least in that direction.

Also that statue/figure looks cool. Hope you get it at a decent price.

I'm not happy at all with the new haircut. The whole point was that her long hair was her clothing, so it doesn't make sense at all to cut it. Hopefully they at least come up with a good explanation. Also... I just think she's a lot prettier with long hair, IMO.

Thanks! What'll probably hurt is the shipping; it doesn't like it can by shipped by SAL.

My thoughts on why her hair is short is she lost her powers. I thought I heard that Inferno was coming after her? The demons of Hell, and since her powers are derived essentially from Demons she probably lost control of them.

Just speculation obviously but that is the only thing I can think of beyond the designers wanting to be "different."

**Update**
I'm recanting my earlier thoughts. After seeing a video on Youtube of Bayonetta 2 I know she doesn't go all Samson and lose her powers and thus get short hair, it is just a silly design choice as far as I know. She transformed into her usually "battle" outfit and still had short hair, so I'm wrong in my speculation....wish I wasn't but there it is.
