Mario Land Trivia - Boyobmas - 07-19-2014
In both the original Super Mario Land and it's sequel, the 1-up mushrooms are replaced with hearts. This was most likley done becuase with the Game Boy's lack of color, It would be hard to distinguish a Normal Mushroom to a 1-up Mushroom.
