Though in the box art Mario has always had gloves, Super Mario World is the first main Mario game to have Mario's in-game sprite wearing gloves.

I don't think this really constitutes as trivia. Why not mention it's also the first time the M appears on his hat, or that the colours of his shirt and dungarees were changed?

I think the gloves are a pretty good stand alone trivia. (Besides I'm pretty sure the other ones are already on the site.)

The other trivia is not on the site, because minor character design changes are not trivia - otherwise we would discuss design changes to a LOT of characters across series on the site. Mario is no exception to the rule.
