Will US XBox 360s Play PAL DVDs? - Hexadecimal - 08-31-2014
Been looking around the internet and I've been finding conflicting answers as to whether the 360 will play DVDs that are in PAL format. It never occurred to me that it might be able to do that, so I'm very much hoping it's true! There's too many PAL movies that I'd just LOVE to own!

I've never heard of them doing that. I would like to say no since they can't play pal games. However, (again) I've never heard of them doing that and I've never tried it before.

What bites is that I DO have a PAL DVD somewhere that a friend sent me without thinking about region locks, but I have no idea where it went during the move. It seems to have gotten separated from my other DVDs but now I should try even harder to find it. I don't think a test would hurt my system at all; I would think it just wouldn't play if they're not compatible.

Don't go crazy trying to find that DVD - it won't work on a US 360. Testing it certainly won't hurt your system but I can save you a little time here if you'd rather not try to dig it out.
