Super Smash Bros. Melee - Reflections - Takahashi2212 - 09-01-2014 In the Fountain of Dreams stage, the water reflects the characters (which takes a lot processing power, making the stage banned in Doubles tournaments). The reflections aren't actually the model, but rather a low-poly version (the same models are used in the offscreen magnifying lens). These models don't emulate the character's facial expression, or show the item they're holding. RE: Super Smash Bros. Melee - Reflections - DidYouKnowGaming - 11-07-2014 Whether the model is low poly or not is impossible to tell from this image, since it's so pixelated. RE: Super Smash Bros. Melee - Reflections - Kakariko Kid - 11-07-2014 For the lack of a better source, here ya go http://www.ssbwiki.com/Fountain_of_Dreams In the trivia section, it has the same information and a picture of Pichi crouching along with a Jigglypuff pic. RE: Super Smash Bros. Melee - Reflections - DidYouKnowGaming - 11-09-2014 Lower resolution reflections is not the same as low poly. RE: Super Smash Bros. Melee - Reflections - Kakariko Kid - 11-09-2014 http://m.ign.com/articles/2001/11/28/super-smash-bros-melee-2 IGN mentions a low polygon count in the second paragraph under "graphics". RE: Super Smash Bros. Melee - Reflections - Boyobmas - 11-09-2014 I don't know if it's a low poly model or not but a similar reflection trick was used for Luigi's Mansion. RE: Super Smash Bros. I apologize if what I said was wrong. Thanks to everyone who found those extra sources for me. RE: Super Smash Bros. Melee - Reflections - JelloBoyInc - 11-14-2014 Looks legit. RE: Super Smash Bros.
