The Klonoa series (Particualy the second game) are nice, simple platformers that focus on a mixture of some (admittedly basic) puzzles and platforming. The soundtrack is also bloody fantastic, seriously, look it up now.

The Klonoa games are indeed awesome and have fantastic music. The first one at least has a cult following (at least enough to have gotten remade), but 2 gets completely forgotten as one of the great games on PS2... and I think even people who like Klonoa presumed the Gameboy Advance game would be a cheap knock-off, but it's not. It's actually really cool that it's entirely 2D sprites.

Dynamite Headdy is one of those awesome Treasure games that never gets props anymore. People always talk about Radiant Silvergun, Ikaruga, Gunstar Heroes and Sin & Punishment... when they were also great at creative platformers.

The Ys series (psp/ps2/steam) is something i love but none of my friends seem to know about it.... the music is some of the best video game music i've ever heard.
Also they earlier legend of heroes games (psp) (but those are a bit annoying to play so i kinda understand why it never got popular)
Also Avalon code (ds), i picked it up on a whim and found a neat little game with a lot of heart and charm

YSIII on SNES is one of my favorite games of the era. Definitely had amazing music. I'm glad that series has been going strong for so long.

DUDE, YES! That game was crazy awesome. I really can't think of any other game that mixed all of those genres so perfectly. Rockstar really needs to bring that one back, I'd buy a sequel in a heartbeat.

The reason why it never had a sequel is because it was developed by Bungie West, and Bungie, until a few years ago, has been owned by Microsoft, so they could make Halo games.

^The best thing is that that game is completely free nowadays because it has become abandonware. You can download it here completely free: http://www.abandonia.com/en/games/26808/Nightmare+Creatures.html

Did anyone mentioned Uniracers? That game was fun.

Rocket: Robot on Wheels
Fantastic game that did not sell well. I would like a new one after Sucker punch gets done with Infamous 3.

Space Station Silicon Valley
Awesome game that is almost perfect. The developers (if they are still around) should patch up the game and release it as an updated version.

Chibi-Robo
Not really an under rated game, but it is still not seen as a well talked about game. It need more fans.

Huh, I had no idea Bungie was even involved, or that there was a Bungie West. It'd be great if they could bring it back in some way, but I don't ever see that happening D:
