I played the first Animal Crossing and really liked it until I ran out of stuff to do and got bored doing favors for the animals and only getting new stuff on holidays. How is the content for the newer games? Will I be busy for awhile even without interacting with other folks online?

As a fan I have to admit other then Online play, no... It's about the same leap per game as a Pokemon or Call of Duty. But online play adds alot. Trading Nintendo items and fruits, Using other peoples "Stalk" Market prices, sharing custom patterns etc..

Should've clarified: I read a lot of unpleasant stories online today and the stupidity of this finally made me realize I should just stop reading news online for now.
