That one weapon you always go for in a game. - retrolinkx - 01-07-2015

In a lot of games we carry over 100 guns to use but we all have that one gun that we just can't get enough of and use it whenever we can just because we love it so much.

For me it's Revolvers. Damn, can't get enough of those. If I ever find one I usually use it all the time if the ammo isn't scarce or the situation calls for a better weapon.

Double Barrel Shotguns are also pretty rad, I think I used that gun the most in Doom 2, and a lot more in Timesplitters.

Another weapon I really like is the G36C, the design is cool and I really like using them whenever I can.

What about you guys, do you use any weapons whenever you get a chance to?

Also don't limit yourself to guns, use swords or bows and arrows.

Speaking of which I always try to use Bows and Arrows whenever I can.

When it comes to Contra. I always go for the Flame thrower power and the three shooter power(the S power-up). For games like Doom, I'd always go for the chainsaw and Shotgun.

I didn't play very many combat games. But, San Fransisco Rush 2049 had an awesome multiplayer combat thing with a massive death blast power up. You could only use it three times, but it almost instantly killed anyone within a freaking mile radius of you. It was very OP.

I ALWAYS go for the Boomstick. I most likey does good damage. It normaly has low ammo, but it ALWAYS feels good to blast your foes away. I only know two games that make the shotgun crap.

Besides that, I go for the swords. Most of them don't matter. a combo sword+Boomstick makes every game a winner.

Always shotguns, I don't care if it's shit or the best weapon in the game I always love to use shotguns. The only thing I prefer to a shotgun is a bow and arrow. Now for close combat I love using axes and when it comes to how I fight I like dual weilding.

There is also one specific gun I love from the game Gun. It's only usable after you collect and beat eveything and it's called the Nock Gun. It's classified as a shotgun in game, but it's really just a cannon gun and it's just so much fun to use.

Armalite platform rifles are always great. Game-dependent, I love to use revolvers. Axes are for champions. Grenade launchers are also quite satisfying. Crossbows, though rarer, are pretty epic as well.

That and swords. Pissed me off I couldn't just pick a sword up from one of those guys that had one in Saints Row 3. I had to earn it or something.

Depends entirely on the game. I prefer auto rifles when they are there, but when I have the choice of fisticuffs, i always go there.

In a pinch, I love Revolvers, but my true love is Sniper Rifles. I love the challenge that sniper rifles present.

Shotguns are generally something I go for. There's something immensely satisfying about blowing away enemies with a pump shotgun.

And Katanas. I've always been a fan of how they look.

Doesn't matter if it's a weapon or a customize item, I would always have chakrams on my characters(if the game has it). Instead of swords and bows, more games should include chakrams imo.

For guns I would always go for shotguns. I always love to get close to my enemies and blow them to chunks (yea, run and gun style). I hate sci-fi guns that vaporize or teleport enemies into another dimension though. I don't feel satisfied until I see my enemies lying on the ground with a huge pile of blood. Oh wait, I kinda sound like a sick psycho... Oh well.

No, that sounds like normal me.

I have so much fun just sniping from afar whenever I get the opportunity to.

I hate games where you start off with a sniper skill level that makes your aiming look like you're doing a flippin' scope loop-the-loop.

So, we're big fans of civil war combat then? Shotguns, revolvers, and snipers.

It really depends on the game. I often go for the shotgun because I like to go all Rambo on my enemies but more than that I prefer melee. If I can melee an enemy to death I will sure as hell do that. There's nothing more satisfying than smacking your enemies to the ground.

But, like I said, it really depends on the game. I like assault rifles that have scopes in first person shooters, the magnums in Resident Evil, the sword users in RPGs and so on.
