Dragon Ball Online - Yardrat - KnowledgeBase - 04-06-2015
The Yardrat species in the former MMO Dragon Ball Online look completely different than how they were depicted in the Dragon Ball Z anime.

The Yardratians appeared in the anime in Goku's flashback where he explains how he learned the instant transmission ability, however, in the original manga they were only mentioned.
Because Dragon Ball's creator, Akira Toriyama, was heavily involved in the creation of Dragon Ball Online and didn't design the Yardrat in the anime is most likely why the two depictions aren't alike.

The Yardratians in Dragon Ball Online are depicted as either Blue or Green.
