Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus & Classical Music - Kitsune Hawk - 05-09-2015

Here's something I found while making my Top 10 Other Classical Music References in Video Games.
In Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus, not only does the lead student of the Gessen Girls' Academy, Yumi, state that she's an admirer of classical music, but the themes of all 5 Gessen girls are based on different classical compositions.
Specifically:
  1. Yumi's theme is based on "Dies Irae" from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Requiem in d-Minor, followed by Ludwig vanĀ Beethoven's "Pathetique Sonata, 3rd Movement"
  2. Murakumo's theme gets its buildup and dramatic sound from Sergei Prokofiev's "The Evil God and the Dance of the Pagan Monster" from his Scythian Suite
  3. Yozakura's theme is based on Ludwig van Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata, 1st Movement"
  4. Minori's theme is based on the "Russian Dance" from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite.
  5. Shiki's theme is based on Antonio Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons - Winter, 1st Movement"
