Having weird graphics card related problems. - Arjahn - 05-23-2015

As many of you know by now due to my incessant posts in this section, my pc is prone to issues. Right now I am having a few weird ones that are most likely graphics card related. My PC has stopped BSODing, which is nice, but now Youtube videos are pixelated, the machine still takes damn near ten minutes to boot, and now I'm getting stuttering and a weird message that says "your graphics card does not support aero", even though I've been using it forever. I've updated and reinstalled the drivers, dusted the whole thing out and now I just don't know what's going on. Oh and now the text is lagging when I type this post. Awesome.

Please help me out if you have any ideas as to what might be causing these problems, thanks.

This thing sounds like a fire hazard. Check to see if anything has melted in there.

Yeah now it's hot and I pretty much just can't use my PC without it yelling at me. I thought it was just gaming before, but now I have literally nothing but a few Chrome tabs open and the motherboard speaker is going at it. I'll dust it out more thoroughly tomorrow, but I doubt that'll help. Any tips for improved airflow? Right now it's on the floor with a small fan pointed right at the damn thing and a few other fans in the room, but it just won't stop beeping. I'll post hardware specs and heat scans later.

I'm not really the one to go for that. Its sounds like a motherboard issue, but again, I'm not the person to ask. Have you contacted your graphics card company about this, since you suspected that? It could be a common issue.

Get some compressed air and really clean out the inside. I know it doesn't sound like it will do much but dust buildup, especially on the graphics card, can really trap in heat and cause the issues you're describing. My brother was having a similar problem and thoroughly cleaning out the inside of the computer fixed it (I used a combination of compressed air and a vacuum).
