Female protagonists in Doom - Mass Distraction - 06-07-2015 Although it is generally known that the "Doom Marine" is the main character of the series, there has been one release in the franchise to have a female protagonist available, and that is Doom II RPG. Note that this game is in no way affiliated with the original Doom II, it's just a sequel to Doom RPG, which in itself is a prequel to the original Doom. Confused yet? Good. Let's get to the point. Here's a list of Doom's protagonists from all the games in the series: http://doom.wikia.com/wiki/Doom%27s_protagonist As you can see, the protagonists are all (mostly) nameless male characters. While it can be argued whether the protagonist in most of the seires is the same or not, it is quite clear the person is a male, having even gotten later names by related media such as Flynn Taggart and John Kane. And of course you can still see his face in most installments so there. Now onto that Doom II RPG. While its main character still stands as Stan Blazkowicz, the descendant of B.J. Blazkowicz, there are two other playable protagonists in the game, namely Riley O'Connor and Major Kira Morgan. The latter, of course, being the only playable female character in the entire franchise as of now and at the very least (looking at the future of the series) the very first one.
