Onechanbara origins - Mass Distraction - 06-07-2015 The whole game series, as ridiculous as it may be and as (supposedly) terrible the original game was, is one of the most successful out of all the Simple 2000 line games, which are a series of Japanese budget titles. The game ran under the Simple 2000 title for four consecutive releases (as volumes 61, 80, 90 & 101) until it became a standalone title on Xbox 360, which is again strange considering the console's standing on Japanese market. It was also the first title to be released in the US. List of titles along with release dates and original names on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OneeChanbara The far less useful list on Onechanbara Wiki: http://onechanbara.wikia.com/wiki/Games Notable Simple 2000 titles: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_series#Notable_games Additional info if needed: http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/oneechanbara/oneechanbara.htm Three of the four original Onechanbara games have been released in Europe but not under the Japan exclusive Simple 2000 title. Btw. Sorry I had to use Wikipedia but the Simple 2000 series isn't exactly easy to find English information on. |
