Destiny of an Emperor - SamuraiGaiden - 10-25-2015 Tenchi wo Kurau was a popular manga about the Three Kingdoms Era of China, made famous by the classic book, Romance of the Three Kingdoms.  It was popular in the 80s and spawned some of the first Romance of the Three Kingdoms.  When they came to the U.S. they were renamed Destiny of an Emperor. The people who made the box art, however, didn't know the difference between China and Japan. Here's the original box art for the Japanese: And this the American box art for the same game, which has no semblance of art from the manga, and is actually of a Japanese samurai: This didn't end a few years later when the second game came out.  Again, the Japanese version... And, once again, the American version.
