Super Ghouls n' Ghosts - final boss name change - Kakariko Kid - 12-25-2015
Samael is the name of the final boss in the Japanese version. Samael is Hebrew for "venom of God" or "poison of God". In Jewish lore, he is the archangel of death.
Outside of Japan, the final boss is named Sardius.
This change may have been due to religious references.
