Terraria items changed from recolored sprites to unique sprites. - MeleeWaluigi - 01-02-2016 Some items had recolored sprites of other items in previous versions and got their own unique sprites in later versions. Tizona was a recolored version of the Excalibur. It gained its own unique sprite on mobile 1.1.5822/Console 1.2 update. Tonbogiri was a recolored version of the Gungnir. In version Console 1.2 it gained its unique sprite. These are the only items I found so far that had recolored sprites of other items and gained their unique sprites in later versions.
