New Server Bugs? - Petie - 03-11-2016
Hey everyone! We're officially live on the new server. You should notice that it's quite a bit faster which is great but it's now late and I need to go to bed so I'm sure there are some bugs that will make it through the night. I'm already aware that video icons aren't loading and I'll work on that tomorrow but in the meantime, please report anything else you notice that's broken here. Thanks!

There's a bug I've been found a few months ago that still isn't fixed. So one time I posted a trivia for a game, The trivia was for a game called "1942" (yes it's literally called that). So after I submitted my trivia I pressed the button that says "Add Another". When I did it took me to a page that said that "the game already is on the site" when it actually isn't. I even checked if the game was on the site and when I searched the seached results didn't have the game 1942. 1942 is the only game that had that problem but my trivia for other games that aren't on the site yet don't have the same message when I click "Add Another".

Oh dear lord, suddenly I'm getting a whole lot of "internal server error" messages and pages are loading wonky. Hopefully at least this message gets through.
EDIT: Okay it stopped happening, whatever it was. It kept going for a minute or so and fixed itself, I guess.

It wasn't just a certain page, it was the whole site that kept either giving me the error or not loading up at all. After a few tries I managed to get the main page showing but the color was blue instead of red. Eventually the whole site worked normally again and I made the post exactly the moment it let me.

So, the "Account" drop down in the top red bar is showing below "VGFacts". Whenever I highlight "Account", the link drop down appears in it's original place, but I cannot get to the links (not that I ever log out anyways).
And at the bottom of the page, "VGFacts.com" runs into "Top Games".

Both of those sound like cache issues. Can you try clearing yours and refreshing a couple of times?

I just changed from Microsoft Edge to Internet Explorer (I'm on my work computer) and everything seems fine with the above problem.
However, I did find that if I go to one's profile, the section with information, avatar, Online/Offline status, etc is all gray and it is very hard to read most of what is displayed.

I may have broken the profile thing while trying to fix the theme. I'll look into it when I get home.

The site kept timing out again, now it wouldn't even give me the internal server error thing. This was around 12:30 CST.

Yeah, there was a problem with the server. I'm hoping it's mostly resolved at this point.
