Persona releases September 15th in Japan, but wait there's more - RepentantSky - 05-05-2016

As is typical with Atlus, the game will come with more than just the base game if you get the right edition. There's one with an artbook, a CD for each OST in the main Persona games, some costume DLC from Persona 3 and 4, a Symphony is planned as well as a new anime. Can't show you the new trailer or post links because they aren't up yet, and I'm going the hell to bed, because it's 6:30 and I didn't sleep much so I could watch this thing. If a link comes while I'm sleeping, do post it.

My hype levels for this game are higher than pretty much everything that's coming out that we know of in the next year. Here's the trailer with subs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFx77tQvWTk

All hype died

Why don't Atlus just admit they hate Europe. From giving us some of the worst release schedules to games, to now even releasing games in Europe and also region locking P4:A on PS3, they clearly hate Europe. What is their problem? Why have they always had such a shitty attitude towards? As it stands, P5 has no release date or even publisher for Europe now. I don't even trust importing the game since they released the only ever region locked PS3 game to stop Europeans from importing.

0:40 confirms it

Really? Why so? P5 should be at E3 in about 3 weeks. That should keep the hype levels up until then.

It's Atlus. They've always had a really shitty attitude towards Europe. Just when we get games like Etrian Oddysey they announce the 4th game. They never bothered to release Persona 4 on EU PSN store and in some cases like Strange Journey, they just never release them in Europe at all. Stuff like this is why never buy their games. I borrow any game they release or in the recent case of Catherine, just wait 4 years and buy it pre-owned for £6.

I'd be surprised if they didn't release Persona 5 in Europe but I'm already expecting a 2019 release date for that game. Not only that, but I'm worried about it being region locked on PS4 so we can't import.

I have no idea why Atlus is so arse-like to Europe.

To be fair, it's not all on Atlus. First off, for the last several years, they were partnered with Nis America who published their titles which meant it was partly up to them when to release it. Next there was the fact that Nis America usually needed to come off of one of their own games to help Atlus publish anything because they aren't the most successful company out there, so them Atlus would usually help them publish something first and then whatever Atlus game was coming out around the time would come later. This is not a problem anymore because they are no longer working together. Perhaps that could help speed things along? I don't know, but we'll see.

All that aside, I don't know what the track record is for Atlus game's being region locked in Europe, but of all the games that shouldn't be, this one ought to top the list. If the game can at least be bought from US stores in Europe, it should increase sales a good amount considering the amount of hype for the release of the game, while still giving Atlus a lot of people to sell to who would rather buy the European release. That doesn't mean that there won't be a delay, possibly even a large one, giving that Nis and Atlus don't work together anymore, but then again, if Atlus started working with say, Level 5 or Aksys or hell, maybe even for the sake of Europe, Square Enix, things could start moving along better.
