RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - MexicanAnime - 08-16-2013

So in other news, I started Steins Gate. It's starting off pretty slow, but it's still interesting and has kept my interest.

Revisiting the anime series Case Closed. So far, I'm already enjoying this series. Does anyone know if that crossover with Conan and Lupin the third got an english dub yet?

I seriously doubt it. Neither of these series have seen any new english dubs since what, 2006?

Really? Crap. I guess I might have been under a rock then since I haven't heard anything about the dub of the said crossover.

2013. Lupin - Mine Fujiko has a dub that came out this year.

Ehh, still aside from that I don't think Funimation have any interest in doing anything with Detective Conan.

E: Since they did do a dub of that, who did they get to voice Lupin?

You got my hopes up, thinking that you meant the visual novel, meaning that they had finally finished the English patch for it, and then I realized you meant the anime and all my hopes where dashed away.

It's actually getting an official English release in the states, so you can look forward to that.

While the traditional childhood anime with Ash will continue into X and Y's region, it seems there's being a new Pokemon anime. However, it's not related to Ash or any of the previous Pokemon anime routes.

It's actually going to follow the two original games, Pokemon Red and Green.

While I may not watch the current Pokemon anime anymore and I think the trailer of Origin had some ugly character designs, I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to check this out. If it goes for 100+ episodes or such, I probably won't continue, but I want to watch some episodes and see how they handle the show, especially since they seem to be following the two original games specifically.

Honestly, a Pokémon anime like this is no doubt the only 100+ episode series I would still be interested in watching. For all the other long anime series, I just read the manga.

Oh yes, I'd watch Digimon too, if they still showed it on TV here. The last season we got was Tamers. Here's hoping that Frontier will be shown at some point, too.

Yeah I know, JAST USA is the one developing the official English version, but I expect the fan made patch to be out before that because JAST just started working on that not too long ago, and the fan made patch is already made for Mac all they have to do is make a Windows version and it's done, so I expect it to be out before the official one, and if it's not I'll be highly disappointed in the people making the fan patch.

Even though I don't think the Pokemon anime is good by any means (even the earlier seasons) despite use to really enjoying it as a kid, I can still honestly say that Digimon Tamers was a good kids show to this day. Which is kind of funny, considering how dark it could get for a kids show.

RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - CLXcool - 08-17-2013

Pokemon was one of those animes I was into at first, but as I got older I stopped watching it. Heavy censorship(damn you 4kids), and the fact the dubbing didn't match up made it made me lose interest. Besides. One thing that always baffled me. In some episodes I remember seeing Team Rocket complain that they don't have cash, yet in later parts of the episode they have a giant machine to fight the main characters. How they affording it? Is Acme secretly funding them? And if Giovani(I don't remember the boss's name on the top of my head) hates Jessie, James and Mewoth to death for failing so many times. Why doesn't he just fire them?

NarutoSD: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals is the funniest anime I've seen so far.
