RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - MexicanAnime - 09-04-2013

Made a top ten anime/manga list on another forum, so I thought I'd share my here as well.

More than often, many change places (especially for the first few ones) as there are many series I really do love. My number one has remained constant though.
Top 10 Anime Series
Top 10 Manga Series

I wish I lived in Japan, it always pulls me in with its amazing commercials and its infinite pool of weird.

I heard about an anime Called Sunday Without God that sounds pretty cool, except it had that ultra moe cutesy style. Considering what the series tone sounds like it may be a bit out of place.

Well, if it's anything like Higurashi then I suppose they could pull it off.

I just started watching an Anime called Attack on Titan after all the insane amount of hype behind it. 5 episodes in and yeah, it's actually pretty good. Don't know what to expect but I hope they keep this theme throughout and don't ruin it.

I hear that it's pretty decent. Plus, I don't mind for the "moe cutesy" style many people like to complain about.

Anyone got some recommendations? A friend of mine and I don't have any classes together this year so we're figuring a anime weekend day would be a good alternative to hang out.

I know she liked Trigun if that helps. I think she's already seen Cowboy Bebop.

It's not just Moe, but the anime style that comes with it. Plus recurring themes and plots that are weak (to me). There are interesting Moe takes like Higurashi No Nako Koro Ni...but still.

Baccano and Eden of the East.

Anyways. Looking around videos on a related YouTube video train and I just came across this:

Haven't even heard of this but damn is this tear jerky with a great message (and I'm posting this at 3:20 in the morning, it's that good).

I just started Watamote, which has been pretty awkward so far. But that's probably why im still watching it: http://myanimelist.net/anime/16742/Watashi_ga_Motenai_no_wa_Dou_Kangaetemo_Omaera_ga_Warui!

The biggest thing is probably Attack on Titan, which I should go ahead and check out as well seeing as its something my friends will be talking about sooner or later.

I love how TTGL is the example in both moe era pictures for Gainax.

Conversely, I find it confusing that in Manglobe's case the same anime is in in both before and after images.
