RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - GameWizard001 - 10-27-2014

Naruto had some great story arcs despite the overabundance of fillers. Shippuden didn't start getting fillers till around the 4th or 5th season I think, then it seemed ever other episode of the main story they showed they showed another damned filler episode, then a whole arc that took several months to conclude since they only did an episode a week and each episode only really filled in a tiny bit. Plus they liked to flash back to a lot of what happened before padding out an episode so they really only showed about 5-10 min worth of story in a 22 min episode.

Looking for a relyable, safe site to watch a series. Youtube has the first episode of Sorcerous Stabber Orphen, but none of the other episodes and I would like to watch them. Any suggestions?

I'm assuming you mean a site like Crunchyroll, in which case, I have no idea.

RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - Hexadecimal - 11-01-2014

All I want to do is sit around and watch Dragon Ball; I'm so addicted! I can't believe in only a little over ten episodes they got the Dragon Balls, summoned the dragon, and now Goku and Krillian are training with Master Roshi. Oh, and I love Launch! I'm so happy to see her again! It's just nice it doesn't take 5 episodes to make the plot advance a hair like DBZ, although I'm actually tempted to keep going and watch everything once Dragon Ball wraps up.

Master Roshi was just too dirty for him to be fully censored in the TV version I saw, but he's so terrible in the uncut version! He deserves it every time blonde Launch shoots him xD

I'm with you. Dragon Ball moved very fast plotwise and Master Roshi was the quintessential Lecher character. I'd say every other moment with him and Launch she switches personalities and goes ape shit on him. Also where the hell does she get the gun when she turns? Does she just carry that always?

Roshi does become a really good character in the World Marshal Arts Tournament arc, he isn't as much himself when he wears his disguise so you get to see more the Master side of Master Roshi.

Blonde Launch has them hidden around the house and always seems to have one nearby when she's out. At one point she pulls one out from under her pillow.

I only remember the part where Goku loses to Roshi in the tournament; not much else. I'm remembering more and more as I watch, but my memory gets pretty hazy after that point. The next thing I recall is the Red Ribbon Army, but not what they did.

"Same thing we do every night Pinky. TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!"

That is their evil plan. Also they want to do it with Dragon Balls. Of course they do.

I'll be honest, I thought it was funny that you find carrying around a firearm around with ya all the time strange. The real question is, where does it go after she sneezes.

I kind of wish they'd redo DBZ. The remastered thing didn't turn out well in my eye, so I don't know anything specific they could do to improve it. Too much filler, a lot of plot characters that turn out to be quite minor, and a lot of fights that'd have to be redone. That's for sure.

Wow. I seriously want to know how the latest episode I saw was handled on TV. Some guy named Nam fights a girl named Ran Fan, who uses her feminine charm to get her opponents off guard. At one point she actually strips all the way down to her underwear.

I had to look her up, I honestly don't remember her. Either they toned her way the hell down or they just skipped over her entirely. Pretty sure I'd remember if a girl on that show stripped nude/underwear to win a fight.

RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - Psychospacecow - 11-03-2014

I think this video qualifies as nsfw.

found an English translation.

In the U.S. broadcast edit version, the stripping was excluded. Instead, the scene of one of Nam's failed attacks is shown followed by her twitching foot to show she was knocked out. This is strangely not edited in recaps, which clearly show her in her underwear. The uncut English episodes show the fight in full.

You can also try Anilinkz. I've used them to watch several animes and they are very good.

RE: General Anime/Manga/Otaku Thread - JiraiyaSennin - 11-06-2014

Well Naruto is finally over. I feel so many different emotions right now. I'm so happy with the way it ended, but I'm so sad that it's over, because it has been there for most of my life. I can't wait to see what they're going to do in the final movie.
