The GameStop I work part time at has the Pokemon Go Plus accessorys. I caved as soon as I saw it and caught a handful of chinpokomon at work (2 Ditto as well).

This game is great for chatting to strangers.

I was walking through a large cemetery on my way to feed a friend's cats (as they're on holiday), and I notice a gym far off gets taken. There's a gym closer to where I am that I'll reach in about five minutes.
Then I see a car roll up and two girls get out (without a jacket, bearing in mind it's -20), so I guess they're the ones who took the gym. We chatted for a bit and it turns out they were going to strengthen the gym close by for valour. I told them I'd leave them to it before leaving, for which they thanked me and we bade ourselves goodbye.

(But really I had taken a look at the gym they had just taken over a ways away and they had +2800CP mons. I have nothing over 2000 :D )

I had the best hatching day today. Walked about 11km doing this and that and hatched a few 2km eggs.

Yeah indeed. I've come across a lot of random local people and just had mini PoGo sessions.

I'm really happy that Niantic changed the spawn algorithm. Nothing ever appeared at our house here on a mountain, but now there's an hourly double spawn point :) There's a third juuuuust out of reach of the Wi-Fi.
I wish I had data though; there are two gyms and three stops in our tiny village and the gym holders never go above 1800CP. Easy coins, but alas no abroad data on my Canadian tablet.

Parliament is currently a Squirtle nest, and though I had to run outside in -22c to get it, it was worth it !

Yep, its been like that since Diamond and Pearl made it so Pokemon in the same entry can have gender based differences.
