NES Classic has been hacked - Colossus - 01-18-2017 So, the NES Classic was hacked by someone in Russia. There are now instructions on how to soft-mod the system (and bring it back to normal). I spent all evening modding mine, TRYING to add my whole collection on the system. There are two ways of doing it, but I highly HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend the 2nd way (which I am posting bellow). https://www.reddit.com/r/nesclassicmods/comments/5mj06h/nes_classic_mini_easy_softmod_hakchi2/ I did have around 110 games on the system, but kept running into errors. I found the sweet spot of 85 where there are no issues.. so far. But hey, the roms look pretty sweet. Which means, Nintendo just made a HD emulator. RE: NES Classic has been hacked - Melcadrien - 01-18-2017 Saw news of this a while back but there have also been reports of parts of said hack containing some malware(from what I've read anyways). This makes it a "do at your own risk" sort of thing. RE: NES Classic has been hacked - Colossus - 01-18-2017 The link on the redit page was checked. No Malware (at least I found) |
