Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 -- Credits - Takahashi2212 - 03-23-2017 (IDK if this actually counts as trivia) There seems to be some confusion over the credits music for Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. The song that plays over the credits is called "Goodbye". This song plays over the credits in all versions, arcade and console included. However, many believe that the Japanese Dreamcast version features a different credits song, the song "Audience" by J-pop artist Ayumi Hamasaki, which released the same year as the Dreamcast port. This is very easily provably false, just with a quick search of gameplay footage of the Japanese version of the game online. However, this rumor has gotten to the point where the Youtube channel BrawlBRSTMSx3, a channel which uploads extended versions of video game music, has the song listed as the JPN console credits music. (Japanese Dreamcast version) (US Dreamcast version) (actual credits music) (song people think is the credits music in the JPN version) This rumor seems to have started with an old piece of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 footage online which featured a modded Japanese Dreamcast version of the game with that song as the credits music instead of the standard credits music. Since US players didn't hear that song, they assumed it must've been exclusive to the Japanese version, and not a modded version of the game. Modding Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is actually super common, and easy to do (the famous video "MAHVEL BAYBEE" actually features a modded MVC2, with costumes and music not featured in the vanilla game, though some of those costumes would be added to Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 in reference to that video). |
