I had found this tweet earlier today, mentioning a neat secret I had never noticed in my years of playing Touhou.
As the video shows, the sound effect that plays when pausing the game is actually the main melody of the title screen, but greatly speed up.

The video within the tweet only uses Touhou 10's pause sound effect as an example, but I'll try to look into Touhou 6 to 9 and 11 to 15 to see if they follow the same pattern, and then report the results here.
