CISPA Passes - Antwan - 04-21-2013

288 - 127. As of last Thrusday, CISPA will soon be law. Watch what you download from now on people: big brother is watching.

RE: CISPA Passes - Xannidel - 04-21-2013

Obama did not approve of the bill did he?

RE: CISPA Passes - BumblebeeCody - 04-21-2013

What confuses me is how the US House of Representatives drew this law as a consequence of the Boston Bombings. Bullshit.
Apparently there's an Internet Blackout tomorrow.

Umm...aren't you forgetting it only passed through the house of representatives, it still has to go through the senate and president to become law, and can still be vetoed and shut down, it's not going to become law yet.

You didn't read his post very carefully - he clearly refers to "last Thrusday" which, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, is "A cyclical event that occurs every 27 years where a US bill can be enacted into law by the assent of only one house and without needing presidential assent."

I know you're joking, but...what?

As far as I'm aware, nope.

Remember, it still has to get passed Obama to actually become law. And as far as I'm aware, he plans on vetoing it anyways.

RE: CISPA Passes - gamemaster1991 - 04-21-2013

OK, What the hell is this? I have not heard of this thing before, and can only find stuff on how it will stop cyberattacks. But how does it work and how does it effect us? Everything is so veg about it.

Which is funny, because several of my facebook friends (OK, I live in a county that around 80% of voters voted for Mitt Romney, not too many Obama fans around here), wrote extensive posts about how Obama is wiping his feet on the constitution by passing CISPA... *Sigh* Why even bother explaining.

Huh. Well, that's, um... Kay.

RE: CISPA Passes - Lazlo Falconi - 04-22-2013

CISPA is a false flag. What you really need to be on the lookout for is ANIDN.

RE: CISPA Passes - Arjahn - 04-23-2013

First they try to monitor my guns, now they're trying to monitor my virtual guns. Next thing you know, they're gonna start monitoring my Second Life LARPer's foam items.

RE: CISPA Passes - Lazlo Falconi - 04-24-2013

CISPA in Limbo thanks to Senate apathy.

We're safe for another day.
