Unused Version of Melee's Temple - Takahashi2212 - 07-23-2018 There is an unused version of Melee's Temple. However, it's not in the game's files, but rather on the game's website. In an interview with composer Shogo Sakai, he revealed that when he first started composing the music for Temple, he was inspired by the eerieness of the dungeon music of the first Zelda game. This reminded him of the Yotsuya Kaidan, a famous Japanese ghost story. As such, that he originally composed was more eerie and ominous. However, it was changed as he felt he was the only one who would understand the references and inspiration for the song, and it would be lost on most players. https://www.nintendo.co.jp/n01/n64/software/nus_p_nalj/smash/flash/0118/kokaon.html (the interview) https://www.nintendo.co.jp/n01/n64/software/nus_p_nalj/smash/flash/0118/shrin_botsu.wav (here is the a snippet of the unused version).
