Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension - KnowledgeBase - 01-21-2019

The 2003 LEGO video game Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension for the PC and Game Boy Advance was originally planned to also be released for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube, however these versions were eventually canceled.

The PlayStation 2 and GameCube ports, alongside the PC and GBA releases, were planned for release in Spring of 2003.

On September 3rd 2003, it was reported that the developer of the PC, PS2 and GameCube releases, UK studio Asylum Entertainment, had apparently been forced to shut their doors but unclear as to why …

This news was however later that same day claimed to be false by Asylum who stated that the studio was not put into liquidation, however that they had to part company with some staff that were working on the "LEGO Project" which brought its cancellation.

Though not specifically stating in the news report what LEGO game they were referring too, it's possible that this was the PS2 and GameCube ports of Galidor, as this was the only LEGO property that we know of being developed by them during that time frame.

A community moderator by username "jamesster" on the LEGO fansite Rock Raiders United did research into the game's strange development, as well as interviewing a developer who worked on it, which you can read up about here:
