Pokemon has never been about story and that's never been the strong appeal for the series. That being said, the story in this game so far is probably the worst and your group of friends who follow you everywhere are obnoxious.
It's still a fantastic game though.

This is something I never got. Both are the same game, same controls, on the same system, with different Pokemon to catch. Yet one got better scores than the other. Why?

I heard about a glitch in pokemon Y that if you save in Lumious city it prevents the game from working at all. Apparently you might be able to stop it from happening by repeatedly pressing the home button if you do save in that city, but I suggest not risking it. As far as I know this is only for Y and only in the city itself. I tried saving at the pokemon center just to make sure it was legit and it saved just fine. I don't know if this is also a problem in X but I thought everyone should know.

Right? I really enjoyed the game and I want to do a second playthrough but I don't want to lose everything either and now I have to wait until after Christmas to be able to do that.

But yeah I think having the bank needed to transfer B/W pokemons is ass. Fortunately I sold Black anyway so it won't benefit me if I have it.
Also I have been hearing from a couple of my friends about Carvanhaite but no one has even found a Carvanha. I'll just put this down as "Most likely crap" But anyone who owns the game might have a look around for the item just in case.

Since Mega Evolutions don't stick (from how I understand it) I think they're rather silly things to add, but a fair amount of the Pokemon designs this gen are not horrible and I'd actually like to try them out. It won't be like Diamond/Pearl where I didn't even bother to catch over ten Pokemon because I didn't care about what I was encountering.
It's great that they actually let you get your hands on a Gen 1 starter, but I wish I could get a Ghastly ;_;

The item for them not permanently being a mega is to weigh the benefits of the mega-form over a key item, like scarves.
