King of Fighters '94 - Psycho Soldier inspiration - DrakeVagabond - 09-23-2021 The design of the Psycho Soldier Team shares many similarities with the lead characters from the Drunken Master film series. Chin's character is directly inspired by Yuen Siu-tien's portrayal of the Qing Dynasty drunken boxer Beggar So (Sam Seed). Athena's final design for King of Fighters is possibly inspired by So's student, Gam Fa from Story of the Drunken Master.  Kensou's design is inspired by Jackie Chan's portrayal of Wong Fei-hung from the first Drunken Master film, prior to being trained by So. Kensou's love of Baozi (Steamed Buns) is likely a reference to a scene from the film where Chan's character attempts to steal food from a restaurant.
