Fable 1 HD remake. - retrolinkx - 06-04-2013
I'm actually really happy Lionhead are doing something good, and actually getting me excited for a Fable game. I haven't been excited for a Fable game since 2005.
Anyhow, they're not only redoing the best Fable game in HD, but giving it the Halo Anniversary treatment, re-doing all the textures and models to make them next gen.

They're also adding achievements. It's going to be downloaded from the XBL store, but I hope they make a physical copy, I'd prefer that over the digital version.
So, what do you guys think? Good, bad? I mean after ****ing Fable: The Journey I didn't think Lionhead would ever recover with the Fable series.

I actually just bought the Lost Chapters last week on a whim, not knowing it was the anniversary, as it was only $2.49 on Amazon, and I had never played the series before (except for a demo in a GameStop). I'm loving the game, and I'm actually thinking about picking up this remake if it comes to PC.
I've heard that the last good game was Fable 2. I hope they can make a comeback, as it really is quite a neat concept.

Fable III was pretty good. Wasn't as good as Fable II though.
And I'm with Cody, I never played Fable so this is a perfect chance to get it.

Ew, that Fable 3 opinion gave me a bad taste in my mouth.
Believe me guys, when you play Fable, you'll see why Fable 1 is the best Fable in the series.

I haven't played Fable in a couple years, mostly because I keep breaking my Original Xbox systems, but I was seriously excited when I found out about this. I bought a 360 just so I could play Fable 2 and Fable 3, and while Fable 2 and 3 were both good games, I feel people didn't like Fable 3 because there was a slight change in the game. But from what I remember, Fable was an awesome game and being able to play it again after such a long time would be great.
And a leaderboard for the distance of kicking chickens? Lionhead, take my munnies!

Fable II and III were fun, but not nearly as well done as the first one. I played The Lost Chapters version of the first one, (which is the first one with an expansion added on for a second story after the end of the first one.) and it was amazing and I couldn't play it enough, and when I heard they were gonna do a second one I was so excited for more of this awesomeness. Needless to say it was a huge let down, normally I would say overhyped but it was honestly just worse than the first game, all of the RPG elements were dumbed down, the game was pretty short, and I even went around doing side-quests and achievement hunting, but I still felt like my time spent on the game was short. As for the third one, same deal as the second, I was hoping they would redeem themselves but it just got worse, after that I stopped caring about the fable series, and it looks like I was right to do so, because I didn't even know about Fable: The Journey, but now I do and it just sounds awful.
But anyway I will be getting this remake and playing the crap out of it, because that game will forever be one of my favorites.

Never liked Fable. The lore and features are cool, but the controls are some of the worst in any adventure game ever. I had to stop playing Fable 2, playing it was making me feel depressed.

Really wished the PC version had joypad options. I didn't really like having the mouse serve as the camera, and I first played this on the xbox as well.
Fun game, but... really linear, which the game was hyped to be not as.
