I found this nice peace of trivia about Doom. Bill Gates saw how big Doom was and wanted to buy it. He settled on porting it to the Windows 95 computers and tried to sell it off as a "gaming platform."
You also notice that he is no where neer the trigger of that gun. He either does not know how use it or he was told to be careful with it.

its called trigger control. Do you really think he would want to shoot someone while giving a speech, especially Doom Guy?

Only my favorite opening video to a game ever, to one of my most favorite games of all time. Most games I'm clicking the start button as fast as I can to start playing. Never happened when I started Wild Arms.
