If I clean my top 3ds screen with water, does the water go inside the 3ds? - Artwark - 07-17-2013

I've been cleaning my 3ds before I start playing it and I can't help but wonder if the water that I wipe with my soft cloth actually goes inside the speakers? Is the speakers sealed? is my 3ds safe from this cleaning process?

Doing a bit of research shows that it should be fine if you don't pour the water directly onto the system and wash off all the water.

That being said, the speakers are not sealed so try to keep liquid water away from any openings. Wiping down the screen with a damp (but not dripping) cloth or paper towel is fine.

I think it's just best to use some sort of cleaning wipe just to be safe.
