More of a 'got milk' ad, but it uses the design of Mario from his 'Super Mario 64' days.

I was looking for this ad forever. I still have the genesis version of the game

As a kid addicted to the WWE seeing this commercial brought a smile to my face and still does to this day.

My eyes might be burning...

Yes, Mario is now selling Mercedes.

Yes, Mario is now selling Mercedes.

Which is the reason that Mario Kart 8 has one in it.

Oh but I bet that Mario is allowed to do it because he's cool and Sonic can't because he's a sell out.

I don't seen an issue with either of those, though the sonic one needs more Flow cameos in games to justify it.

I don't care about the product placement in either one, it's just that the realistic Mario looks freaky as all get out. The commercial goes from pretty cool with the car in the original game to needing eye bleach.

Holy cow, I had forgot about these two commercials (pay no attention to the third).

Here's something cool that I found

When I found that, I found the alternate/UK version with the miner change being the end line.

If I could play like Cuccos, I don't think I would mind. I would still like to get the girl though.

Someone in a Twitch chat reminded me about these commercials

RE: Favorite videogame commercial? - ZpaceJ0ck0 - 12-29-2017

Remenber that time when Shadow the Hedgehog was advertised with a super upbeat J-Pop song?

RE: Favorite videogame commercial? - ZpaceJ0ck0 - 01-14-2018

Not exactly a TV commercial, but it is still promotional material for a game. The game in question being "Street Fighter EX".

I don't understand Japanese but from what I'm getting Doctrine Dark injected the characters of SF2 some sort of toxine that rendered them from pixels to polygons. My favortie part has to be Ryu and Chun-Li looking in terror. (don't ask me why)

Not sure if this was simply meant to be a surrealistic image or Capcom/ARIKAs attemp at dark comedy, but is still interesting nonetheless.

There was this particular Megaman poster that served more as a parody of those "bombastic" style of announcements rather than legit advertisimet, but I still believe it fits here.

Translation and footnotes by Miðgarðsorm from the SRK forums:

  1. Hadōman. Pretty self-explanatory.
  2. Kumoman. Kumo is “spider”.
  3. Taichōman. Taichō is, well, “commanding officer”.
  4. Dokuman. Doku is “poison”.
  5. Oirokeman. Iroke is “sexy”.
  6. Mr. Mon ami. French for “my friend”, but I imagine everyone knows Gambit’s way of speaking.
  7. Nagehameman. Nage is “throws” and hame “loves”.
  8. Merikenman. Meriken is old Japanese for “America”.
  9. Nazo no Ninjarobo. “The mysterious ninja robot”.
  10. Tsumeman. Tsume is “claws”.
  11. “And again and again, strong enemies appear! Hold on, don’t lose, Megaman! We’re counting on you!”
  12. Includes all the original modes of the Plays"R"us¹ version! And, in the new animated intro, Megaman’s forgotten past becomes finally clear! And “HE” appears, at last!

Huh. Not sure if I like it, but that was definetly something.

Watching this commercial makes me miss Batman: The Brave and The Bold.

EDIT: nvm, I just found out that they made a crossover film with Scooby-Doo.

I kinda like the way Sega/Sonic Team know how to reference themselves and maybe even poke fun at themselves as well.

Side note: Didn't notice how shiny the cover was until this commercial.
