R.I.P Hiroshi Yamauchi - retrolinkx - 09-20-2013

Mr. Yamauchi died at 85, he was the CEO of Nintendo for 53 years or so, just before Iwata.

He pretty much helped with the NES, SNES, Gameboy, N64 and Gamecube.

R.I.P

The man who did everything right for the entertainment business. The man that did the unthinkable and the man that did the impossible. Today's gaming would have never been seen without this man.

I feel sorry for him that he couldn't do what he wanted to do in life.

Here is my first video that I did in honor of Mr.Yamauchi.

Let this thread write more knowledge about this man in anyway possible.

R.I.P Hiroshi Yamauchi
May your thoughts on RPG Gamers live on forever

"People who play RPGs are depressed gamers who like to sit alone in their dark rooms and play slow games,".

Oh, and can't forget this wacky quote of his:

"I have been saying this for some time, but customers are not interested
in grand games with higher-quality graphics and sound and epic stories.
Only people who do not know the videogame business would advocate the
release of next-generation machines when people are not interested in
cutting-edge technologies." (A few months before the Wii was announced as a successor to the Gamecube.)

Looks like his game...is over. Rest In Peace Hiroshi. You will be missed by video gamers around the world.

A good man has passed away. Rest in peace, dood.

Btw. The first person who says something inanely stupid like "R.I.P. in peace", I will come to your house and make sure you are next.

I really wish a lot of people will remember this man. Has he by any chance won anything in his life? Has he ever smiled in his life or was he at one point proud of his employees or Mr.Miyamoto?

It would be a crime if this man didn't win a thing for helping out the video game industry.

Besides all of these disrespectful and crappy game puns above, Mr. Yamauchi will be greatly remembered for his service to Nintendo.

It's actually very amazing that he was apart of the company for so long, even at the beginning of when it became a video game company.
