Old sketches of potential video game/cartoon characters/classic commissions. - CryingWaffles - 09-30-2013

I always wanted to make my own video game. I've also always been a MAJOR follower of animation.

Problem is that I can't do OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) or ANY FORM of basic programming. I even spent a month practicing JavaScript on this website that teaches you how to do numerous forms of programming, and I couldn't get through half of the first course. Even the easiest forms of programming (that doesn't even require code) are impossible for me to comprehend.

Animation is amazing to watch, but even trying to do the simplest thing on Flash is a chore that I seem to never be able to continue after a few minutes.

Yeah, so I'm retarded, and I can't do things that are major parts in what I want to do.

Only farthest I can do is drawing. Even that I can't draw all that well even since I've been doing it for my entire life. I have ideas for games and cartoons but I can't execute them other than character art.

This is a character that I wanted to use in a idea of a BattleToads-style game.

Characters that I wanted to use in a sort of a kids point and click adventure.

This is a concept sketch that I made for my friend. She wanted a design for her character in her novel.

A weird and obscure custom bong-smoking My Little Pony character I made for my ex-girlfriend 3-4 years ago. (P.S. I'm not a brony neither a fan of the cartoon, but the ex-gf was)

A Chibi character that I made for a girl. Honestly as simple and cruddy as it looks, the coloring was what I worked on the most, although it looks bad.

A Llama I made for ANOTHER girl 7 years ago. (God how many girls wanted me to draw for them?) I remember she told me that she hung it up on her wall.

A drawing I made on my Nintendo Wii U. I honestly think this and one other weird drawing are the only good ones I've ever made.

I like this design. I think he'd make a great Wario-like character; a rascal who likes his money and material items.

As for finding a programmer, I recommend checking out the "Making Games thread" over at Something Awful. I hear there are a number of programmers looking for artists to help out with their projects, and maybe you can hook up with a programmer to help out with yours.

Thanks! I actually was going to make him in some sort of a rebellious mafia-esque character.

BTW I can't afford a SA account atm. Maybe soon.

If you didn't know, you can get cs2 programs from Adobe's website for free now if that helps.
