RE: Gaming news - RepentantSky - 02-09-2018

Bandai Namco are announced as the lead designers of Metroid Prime 4: https://gematsu.com/2018/02/eurogamer-bandai-namco-studios-singapore-developing-metroid-prime-4

I'm worried. Bandai Namco's quality is all over the place, and they end to treat IP's that aren't theirs kind of half-assed. Maybe Nintendo will force them not to do that, but then again, maybe they won't.

Not the full version apparently but still

EDIT:

at the end of the English version (i didn't check out Japanese yet) it seems there is a nobody of Riku??

Kingdom Hearts III released date will be revealed at E3 this year.

RE: Gaming news - CLXcool - 02-10-2018

^Things I noticed in the trailer.
  • Ariel is now a summon(guess Altantica isn't in the game this time).
  • There's worlds based off of Monsters Inc, Tangled, and Toy Story
  • Nobody version of Riku?
  • Organization 13 has returned?

My awsers would be:
  • It looks like that. I hope we don't have to go back to Alantica. As much fun it was to have the unique playstyles, it has always been the weakest world in the games
  • Monsters Inc is the "new" world in this trailer. Been wanting this since KH2. It makes so much sense.
  • I think Riku is talking about Repliku from Chain of Memories. I mean If Xion is coming back (which I don't really agree with, but hints show otherwise), why not.
  • Play Dream Drop Distance (though I still don't think it will make sense)

The pink haired dude (if you were referring to him) is Marluxia from Chain of Memories.

The guy talking to Sora in the Monsters. Inc world is Ventus.

Uhm, it's Vanitas, not Ventus. Remember he's still in Castle Oblivion and his heart is still inside Sora where it's been since he was a kid.

RE: Gaming news - CLXcool - 02-11-2018

I haven't been up to date with the KH games, the last game I played was KHII. So somethings are just confusing to me.

Don't worry. That's normal.

Just remember, when in doubt, everyone is Ansem or Sora.

I was talking about at the end of the music video. Riku talking about "the other me" sounds like the Riku Replica AKA Repliku.

Marluxia and Ventus were brought back for the Real Organization XIII (again, play 3D even if it still makes no sense after it is explained)

I also want to add that I forgot that Sora and co would not have any idea who anyone from Castle Oblivion would be (aside from Axle and Namine, who they meet afterwards) since Sora's side of CoM was erased from their minds.

Spyro Remastered Trilogy announced

Take it with salt, but its finally happening.

The only part of this rumor that I'm willing to accept is that sometime next month we might see the game officially announced, but beyond that I'm a skeptic. For starters, having a year long timed exclusive for the PS4 does make sense, but announcing that, certainly doesn't. Crash Bandicoot was so successful because it was thought to be an exclusive for the PS4 entirely. While timed-exclusives have proven to not hurt sales that much in the long run, I still have my doubts that announcing that it's timed, would do anything but hurt Spyro's sales on the PS4. I'm also not going to buy into a Q3 release date here. For this game, Activision will probably market it for 9 months and release it just weeks before their biggest release at the end of the year. At best if it is Q3, we're talking the last few days of it. Finally, the rumor suggests that some content from the original trilogy of titles will be cut, likely to try and add it as DLC later on, even if the rumor doesn't say that bit, but I doubt that one either. If content is cut from the game to be sold as DLC, even if it's given away for free for a bit, I think people would be so outraged, we'd be looking at one of the biggest controversy's of the year, and the stigma surrounding DLC and trying to pull back on features of a game isn't something Activision should want looming over their heads. Also, whose ever heard of a remake that removes content from a game instead of adding to it? In short, I believe the game is coming, but the rest of this seems a bit BS to me.

RE: Gaming news - CLXcool - 02-15-2018

^ There is a reason why I said 'Take it with salt'. I find it a bit odd that they would make the announcement about this sooner than later. I know that the N sane trilogy sold like hotcakes, it was bound to warrant similar treatments to other PS1 games. We're getting a remastered Medievil game that's getting the treatment that Crash got, and then came the question after Crash was released 'what about a remastered Spyro trilogy?'. The 20th anniversary of Spyro's first game is happening this year, so chances are there is a remastered trilogy of Spyro happening. It's a no brainer to do it since Crash's comeback was a hit to both newcomers and fans of the series. If this is true, we're just going to have to wait and until March until the news about the dragon's comeback is for certain. If it doesn't happen in March, then chances are they will showcase it at this year's E3 convention.
