Holy shit, that is exciting. First we get an update, which comes out tonight, with free DLC and more online stability. Then in November and May of next year we are getting more tracks, more vehicles, and more characters like everyone has been asking, but we also get non Mario universe characters like Link and Villager. Nintendo is really listening to the fans on Mario Kart 8.

In all seriousness, Why are we getting more Mario and Peach characters? I don't understand. Also, Is it me, or does Link look really out of place? He's anime-ish look does not go well with the more cartoony look of everyone else.

That was the thing that was bugging me the most was Link's design. He seems like he just doesn't belong at all. I think the Animal Crossing characters though make a excellent edition because they seem to fit so well in this game.

All joking aside though I would like to see E Gadd in the game and I honestly think Nintendo will put him in the game eventually. Pauline though, I don't see it happening unfortunately.

I'm actually excited about Link, he might be my new character to race with. As for having it be payed DLC, I don't mind it, because you get quite a lot of new stuff. 8 new tracks, 4 new vehicles, and a few new characters in each pack is a good deal for $8-$9.

You know I think they should go full smash and just make Mario Kart an all star racing game. How cool would it be to see Link racing with Epona or Fox using an Arwing to race. Courses from all sorts of Nintendo franchises, now that is a game I would be willing to pay money for and the GIF CLXcool also accurately represents my thoughts if they decided to make a Smash racing game.

It would not only sell like hotcakes for Nintendo and the Wii U. But also give us a spin-off with never ending promising ideas for Smash bros racing. Heck. I've even made a topic debating about if there should be one. And it looks like people are openly admitting on wanting a Smash bros Racing spin-off.

Guys, if you pre purchase both DLC packs for Mario Kart 8 you will IMMEDIATELY get 8 different Shy Guy colors and 8 different Yoshi colors. I think both will be available for purchase by maybe midnight tonight or tomorrow for sure.
