Maybe Firefox is different since the last time I used it, which has been about 1.5 years ago. But I got really annoyed with it then and it was stupid slow for me. I've just had much better luck with Chrome overall.

Firefox has updated a lot recently. I think a lot of Chrome users simply don't realize that and think that FF is still stuck back in the Firefox 3 era. It's up to like Firefox 19 now.

I have mine customized so that the interface takes up as little screen space as possible, and it actually takes up less screen real estate than Chrome's UI does.
You can't change UI sizes in Chrome though, as far as I know.

As a Web Development student I would suggest using Google Chrome as it updates on a regular basis and works with all sorts of different multimedia formats. I would avoid using Internet Explorer as even with IE9 the user is still miles behind other users.

Personally I use Chrome but I can understand why people would use Opera as well as that gets updated often as well. Firefox and Safari are also quite good, just promise me people will avoid using Internet Explorer, its so outdated! :P

I use a beta version of Firefox that updates itself every single night.

http://nightly.mozilla.org/ :)

I didn't actually know that, I'll have to take a look into it. :)

Quite a few people don't know it exists. It can be buggy some days, but I find it's more stable than the real firefox, and it runs a lot better. I love it.

I Mainly use chrome, Firefox if needed. I use IE to download those two.

RE: Browser thread? Browser thread. - SERIOUSLY THOUGH - 03-17-2013

I use Chrome for everything I do. I also use Internet Explorer on a quasi-daily basis to access the government's video service that only works perfectly with IE for some twisted reason.

I'd imagine that the government would make it specifically for Internet Explorer because they don't tend to know how bad it is.

(That or they don't update the stuff properly and only IE works with the old stuff! :P)

A bit of both - I'm guessing they use IE because it's what they were given, and I have to run the page on compatibility mode because my browser is 'too up to date'
Yay budget cuts !

Hey! I resemble that statement!

Maybe its an anti-hacking measure.

Nuff said.

RE: Browser thread? Browser thread. - Minifig - 03-17-2013

I encourage everyone to give Nightly a try. It's as fast as Chrome, but with the addons that make Firefox great. :)
