...just asking, was really neccesary this sort of change? Do people really see gendered bathrooms as a problem?

“Denver will take every step we can to remove barriers for our people while creating more convenience."

How are gendered bathrooms a barrier? No seriously, can someone explain?

Segregation goes way, way back in time and many of the "norms" from the past have carried to this day. The reasons for different types of segregation have different origins, such as different religions and traditions,  and they resulted in segregation based on color, sex, etc.
I understand some reasons for separating stuff, but some things I've never understood.
Some people will not talk about it because there are many other people who are "open for discussion" but they really mean they are open to only being fanatics who will speak bigotry but will not listen.

I personally do not care who is in the same bathroom as I am. So long as they're clean and not dangerous they can be whatever they want to be !

RE: World News - Hexadecimal - 12-20-2016

I honestly wouldn't care either but, that's just it; both genders can be disgusting for different reasons. That's why I like to have gendered bathrooms. Whenever I got bathroom duty when I worked at Hardees when I was 15 made me want to cry.

I doubt you men would ever want to see the results of a woman who doesn't clean up well during her time of the month and a lot of you dudes need to work on your aim when using urinals.

RE: World News - CosmykTheDolfyn - 12-20-2016

I will personally say that I had an experience that gave me a new view on that. Once, in a public restroom, I saw a women walk in, very clearly feminine. I very kindly tried to tell her that it was the men's room and the woman's was across the hall.
She responded that she was transgender, and it was potentially illegal to go into the woman's room. I highly doubt anyone would have noticed her going to the woman's room and thought she was a man. But, going into the men's room just drew a ton of attention to herself.
Most restrooms have individual stalls anyways. I don't really care which you enter as long as you don't bother me.

RE: World News - Hexadecimal - 12-20-2016

People who are transgender can use whatever restroom they want; I don't care about that. I actually hope they take full advantage of any gender neutral bathrooms if they're not comfortable in either restroom yet. I read about a man who was trans, and completely looked that way, but hadn't taken care of their lower female bits yet.

They felt super awkward changing a pad in the men's room, but really didn't want to use the ladies' anymore, and a gender neutral bathroom would have served them well.

Call me closed minded or whatever, but I am not comfortable with the idea of restrooms not separated by gender. I wouldn't be able to shake the thought either that some perverts would take advantage of that to creep on people either.

The above mentioned Pakistani refugee was released.
The next suspect, a 24 year old man who swore allegiance to ISIS, Anis Amri was shot dead by police in Milan.
