Dude freeze the lasers and just fight quick man with the x buster or i think if you have air man it helps kill him.

Air man's weapon works slightly better than the MEGA buster. By the way, after beating him I got to the Refights in like 15 minuets so I could try it on him. I stand by my statement that he is much easier with out the stupid laser beams.

Yeah the lasers are the worst thats why i just freeze them and use airman or x-buster but he is super easy in the re-fights.

Megaman level design this time. Why must every game have the spikes on the floor and ceiling. Sometimes it's even on the walls too. Why? I could do with out them. Place them on land with some leeway to make it not in a cramp hall way where it's hard to jump. Expressly the ones in the water that make jumping into them easier.

Valkyria Chronicles is a cheating game and I hate it for it. Enemy snipers can headshot people hiding in bunkers, enemy tanks and lancers have 100% accuracy on my tanks even from the other side of the map (for reference, the guns when used by player are inaccurate as hell, even when upgraded), enemy tanks don't always explode when you shoot a rocket at their weak spot point blank even when the game clearly tells you they should, enemies notice my soldiers from miles away but my soldiers won't do jack even if an enemy was standing right next to them, enemies are able to shoot through indestructible walls and to top it all, my soldiers can't randomly shoot for shit and you practically have to stand right next to someone to land a hit.

The game would be fun if a battle that has taken hours didn't end with an enemy rocket hitting my lead tank in its small weakspot from a totally ridiculous angle and from the other friggin' side of the map. Every, single, time. Fuck this game.

Because Megaman hates you.

If you want to beat his game, he'll make you work your ass off for it.

This is more of a rant than a vent. I have to ask, why are Mario games now a days not that creative. We have had so many concepts that could be traced back to older, better Mario games. To quote Yatzee, "All Nintendo does is throw darts at a board from their couch and put what ever they land on in the next game." Name one good idea in a new Mario game that has not been in a previous game. Racoon tail, 3D maps, SAVING THE F'ING PRINCESS. Even new powers like the cat suit and the squirrel suit can be described by saying "the tanooki suit but different." Say want you want about Sonic, at lest he tries something new almost every time and the only thing that stays are his friends and the "collect the magical items to defeat Eggman/Monster of the week" plot.

I had to get this off my chest after seeing that Luigi's first big game on a home console since Luigi's Mansion is just a rerelease of New Super Mario Bros U. I'll make this up by playing the Super Mario Bros Anniversary. Now which one? The Wii version or the SNES one. They are the same, so it makes it so hard to choose.

Because Mario Galaxy, Mario Sunshine, and Mario 64 weren't completely different to the games preceding and following them.

Mario Galaxy is really Mario 64 with gravity controls. Mario Sunshine is the same but with FLODD. They are good games, but When you get to Mario Galaxy 2, it shows that they really have no idea what to do with it so they made the same game with "throw backs" to past games. I have not played Galaxy yet but it looks fun. Mario Galaxy 2, however, makes me not want to buy something so simaler.

Fuck MOBAs, they're all just reskins of the same, boring, flawed game. The communities are almost always filled with condescending assholes, and there isn't even that much strategy to it other than assigning lanes. "Shoot people, wait for minions, wait for the other guy to retreat/retreat, move up to turret #72, repeat" pretty much sums it up.

Be careful what you say about MOBAs, or CHo'Gath will pull you into the void. Wearing a gentleman skin, of course.

So... You're upset that they're all platformers? What do you want Nintendo to do? Start making Mario board games, or soccer games, or RPGs, or maybe a Mario racing game? Naah, that would be too unoriginal.

He has a point though. You could essentially say Mario has been milked more than any other franchise while the core Mario experience stays the same. If you replace Mario with CoD and they started making a board game, sports game, RPG etc, I guarantee the response would be "Oh they're milking the series and creating games with CoD themes rather than their own new IP". But oddly Mario(or Nintendo) are allowed to get away with milking their characters/franchises.

It's the problem I find with the Zelda games (especially after Skyward Sword) and why I want Nintendo to do more with the series. After hearing what they've said about the new Zelda, it looks like they're getting the series sorted out and away from old styles of gameplay for the better.

I'm not upset that they are platformers. I'm upset that they are they same game but with an updated plot.

Mario 64: Bowser steals Peach and the stars and Mario has to rescue them.
Mario Sunshine: Shadow Mario
steals the stars..... I mean "shine sprites" than kidnaps peach and Mario has to rescue them with a water jet pack.
Mario Galaxy: Bowser kidnaps Peach and scatters the stars and Mario has to rescue them using gravity powers.
Next Mario game: Bowser kidnaps Peach and does something to the stars which Mario has to rescue with a new gimmick.

When I can predict the plot of your next game, you need to mix it up. Someone is going to bring up Sonic's "collect 7 colorful things" plot, but at lest they mix it up with new ways to do it. Sonic Heroes is different from Sonic Adventure which is different from Sonic and the Secret Rings which is different from Sonic Unleashed. Mario stays pretty much the same thure out. Even the RPGs are feeling the same as Peach is still getting Kidnapped.... when she has been shown that she can fight. Yes Princess Peach had a game of her own but after that she has to be saved.

Also when you lampshade the fact that you have done the same thing over and over again and not made it tongue in cheek all the way though, you may want to get rid of the fill in the blank sheet for a few games. Megaman 9 did this and it was meant to be a parody of the old games, and it worked. Megaman 10 tried to play it off as a serous plot and it probably killed off the sires for a wile. When the only thing you add to the game is Yoshi and an old power-up, I feel you ran out of ideas. On the other hand, people really love Yoshi and think he can save a Mario game, so what do I know. Let's have the next game be Mario saves Peach from the Koopa kids with the cape from Super Mario World and a new power, put Yoshi in there, and have a huge Bowser as the final boss. That will sell millions.
