I'm issuing a warn to both of you; I've said this countless times, and will now make a thread to reenforce the rules against these sorts of replies. Try actually spending 2 minutes coming up with something to actually say, and not just use Google image search.
My opinion on the matter: why not? MTV has an annual music awards ceremony, and nobody watches MTV for music anymore. Why not YouTube, where people listen to music and watch music videos more than anywhere else? To me, that is the single most logical place to host a music awards ceremony...

Eh, I didn't personally watch into the event. The pre-show was really bad so I figured that this was a repeat of history on YouTube's part.

Youtube is trying so hard to be everything. It doesn't need music awards, it needs to go back to the way it was, when it was easy and fun to use. It's all just a pain in the ass now.

I sound like a hipster but I honestly couldn't give a crap about Ciley Myrus or Adele/mainstream BS, so I go to YouTube to find new talent or what the rest of the world has to offer and damn have I found some incredible music. This award show pretty much laughs at creativity of YouTube by spotlighting everything that's heard on the radio/TV.
