Click Play, and it's basically Pokémon Battles online, don't need to download it or anything. Make a Team, and jump in.
Thoughts?
Haha, I think that was my last thread I posted on DYKG.

I seriously recommend this people. I tried it out, was great. If we get enough people, we could probably even figure out a tournament or something.

Yeah, it'd be nice to get some more people to play this.

Damn good site, pretty much a godsend for me, as I really can't be bothered to EV train and breed. I would join a tournament of this in a heartbeat.
Too bad I suck at it anyway...

Don't worry, most of us probably do too.

I tried playing it once before, however everyone on there would use their pseudo-legendary teams, and even used the same combo on every pokemon. In the end, it became too annoying trying to find a good team to use, so I just quit, though I may come back.

I both love and hate these things because on the one side I can make awesome Pokemon that would be difficult to do on the handheld games, but I hate them because I have spent hours creating these Pokemon on my games! :P

Try creating a team similar to those on your games. It took me weeks to get an Aggron with the adamant ability, 31 IV points in attack, full EV points in attack, have the rock head ability, and know head smash. In the league, he saved me a lot.

I have an Aggron with head smash as well, usually I send out my Ninjask with a focus sash and do a couple of sword dances, and get the speed boosts. Then I'll baton pass him onto Aggron who is wearing a choice band or scarf. Me and my friends used to play one another with these teams a lot. :P

That is a good strategy, however by the time you are ready to use baton pass, Ninjask may already be defeated. I tend to try to overpower my enemies right away, rather than power up in battle.

Overpowering is a good tactic. I've used the Ninjask and Aggron tactic on Pokemon Battle Revolution before, beat a guy who had clearly hacked a load of ubers. :P Me I have a load of different Pokemon to choose from. Unpredictability is my way forward, however I tend to pick out of the NU and UU pool instead of the OU pool. Since I prefer to be the underdog! :P I sometimes bring OU's into the fight though. :P

Unfortunately, I don't know the different terms too well, at least not yet. One of my friends entered one of the official tournaments, and out of 30 matches, she only won 1 :C

EV training and IV breeding really don't take that long with the proper tools.
you can probably max out a Pokemon's stats in 5 minutes if you know the right training locations.
also It'd totally be up for a Showdown tournament if someone wants to set it up.
that being said though, Showdown kinda lacks the feel of playing the actual game. I don't have any evidence to support this, but it doesn't seem like Showdown calculates luck based events correctly; the amount of crits, misses and statuses seems to vary between the two.

I haven't played in awhile but I like both PS and PO. I also like tiers especially OU and UU. IMO they still need to implement the triple and rotation battle. I am also sad because I cannot use my hyper offensive team with Deoxys-D (PS banned Deoxys-D).

I'm making my team now, and I'm not sure which Pokemon I want. All I know is that one of the team members is going to be one of my absolute favorite Pokemon: Bibarel. (...As a matter of fact, yes I'm serious.)
