The Sims 4 is cutting out a few things

So, they've taken out toddlers and pools from the base game of Sims 4. That probably means they're going to be in a dlc a few months from now, but this has me a bit worried personally. A lot of the things they've been hyping to this point are emotions, where people literally die of embarrassment, and their building system. Toddlers and pools are kind of important, one being part of the actual life span of a sim, and the other being one of the iconic things about The Sims, so it kind of has me wondering if there's more to this. Those wouldn't be the first things on the chopping block, so to speak.

Toddlers I can understand cutting, going from baby to child is fun enough, but pools seems like it would be something to be in the base game. It's like EA sees the older games, stripped them down until it's bare minimum Sims, and then screw everyone with a ton of crappy DLC that's stocked with content that should have been with the game since launch.

Yep, this is going to be a cash-grabbin' DLC-fest. No two ways about it now that they're taking flipping pools out of the base game.

This makes me angry. All I want is an updated version of Sims 3 with added features.

1. There called expansion packs, not DLC. They do have DLC, but it's mostly expansions sold in stores. I know the name really doesn't matter and they are basic the same thing, but the boxes say
2. They have been striping the games for every new installment, but it takes removing toddlers and pools to notice? Strange.
3. How is removing two of the favorite features going to sell more games? I don't get the gaming industry.

To me, expansion packs in the past Sims were excellent, most had a lot of new and fun content.

I can see EA doing "oh you want a pool? $5 in the Sims b******* store !"

An expansion can be DLC. Anything downloadable is DLC, but like you said, it's just semantics. It doesn't change that this is BS.
